Mobile app for medical tests
About the client
Health Analyze* is a service for taking medical tests without contact with administrators and queues. It is a low-cost provider in the laboratory sector, allowing you to get tests of the same quality but with discounts up to 30%.
The client came to us at the stage of developing a system for collecting and submitting tests with ready-made technical equipment - labomats.
Task
Usually, when a person goes to a laboratory to take tests, they have to stand in line, communicate with an administrator, and sign a pile of paperwork. They also have to verbally state which tests they need, which can be awkward and sensitive.
The client invented an innovative system for submitting and receiving tests through special labomats to save clients from inconveniences and help them save on services.
We needed to create a digital solution to connect the network of labomats and end users. Make a convenient service where you can place and pay for an order, as well as find where to submit biomaterials.
Solution
We developed an app on Flutter for iOS and Android. Creating the MVP took 4 months. After the first release, we continue to develop the app and expand functionality thanks to its scalable architecture.
Getting to know the app
The service is unique and easy to use, but among laboratory clients there are many elderly people who may find it difficult to understand everything at once. Therefore, we made a small friendly onboarding - this way the user learns how everything works.
Quick access to catalog
The laboratory's assortment includes over 1900 tests. This is a huge number of options among which it's easy to get lost and not find what you need. Therefore, we divided the tests into small sections on the main page:
Popular tests. Research that is most frequently done in laboratories: for example, complete blood count with leukocyte formula.
Collections. A convenient tool for finding the needed test based on disease or organ system.
Tests by categories. Frequent requests grouped by topic tag: COVID-19, Allergens, Hormones, and others.
Users can easily navigate such a catalog. And if they already know which test they need, they can use the search.
Smart test selection
If the user doesn't know which tests they should take, the app will select an individual basket based on symptoms and complaints. You just need to answer questions about your health in a questionnaire to get a list of recommendations.
The app can also decode doctor's prescriptions by scanning them through the phone's camera. This is especially convenient for clients with poor eyesight or when the doctor has illegible handwriting.
Checkups for early disease detection
Many diseases can be completely cured if detected when there are still no symptoms. But every body is unique: we are all of different ages, genders, and with our own lifestyle characteristics.
Therefore, we created checkups for health status verification with individual test selection. For example, a full checkup of all body systems or diabetes prevention.
Placing an order in two clicks
After selecting a test, you can click the "Order" button, and it will go to the cart. The first time you'll need to add passport and contact details so you don't have to provide them at the registration desk and save time.
For more accurate results, you'll need to answer questions about medication intake. Also, for each type of test there is a memo with preparation rules that must be followed before collecting biomaterial.
We integrated payment systems and Yandex Maps into the app so you can immediately pay for your order and choose a convenient location for taking tests.
We also added personalized recommendations to the cart that are selected for various types of tests and diagnoses. This helped increase the average order value by 1.5 times!
By the way, you can place an order for a relative or loved one by adding an additional profile in the app.
Confidentiality
There are medical tests that are awkward to announce at the registration desk. For example, testing for HIV or antibodies to it. Therefore, we provided the possibility to take tests anonymously - neither the nurse nor any other laboratory employee will know the person's name or contacts.
Result
Created an app for taking tests without unnecessary contact with people and the possibility to remain anonymous.
Integrated Yandex Maps and payment systems for convenient order placement.
Implemented extensive functionality with individual test selection for each user.
Increased average cart value by 1.5 times.
